I provide compassionate guidance, education, and support for individuals and families navigating serious illness, end-of-life care, and the dying process. From the time of diagnosis through the final stages of life, I offer emotional, spiritual, and practical support tailored to each person's unique journey.

My goal is to help patients and families better understand what to expect as an illness progresses, including common symptoms, changes that may occur, and ways to promote comfort and quality of life. I help explain complex medical information in clear, easy-to-understand language so families can make informed decisions with confidence.

I also provide education about hospice care, including the services, support, and medical resources available through hospice programs. Whether you have questions about disease progression, caregiving challenges, advance care planning, or what to expect in the days and weeks ahead, I am here to listen, answer questions, and provide guidance every step of the way.

Bio:

Hello, and welcome. My name is Dr. Bennie Richards-Baxter. I have been a Registered Nurse for nearly 20 years, with a professional background that began in emergency medicine. For the past eight years, I have specialized in hospice and end-of-life care and currently serve as a full-time Admission Nurse with a local hospice organization in Lee County, Florida.

My passion is helping individuals and families navigate the end-of-life journey with knowledge, compassion, and peace of mind. In addition to my nursing experience, I have completed advanced training in Holistic Nursing and earned a doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. I embrace an integrative approach to care that honors the physical, emotional, spiritual, and energetic aspects of healing.

As a certified Reiki practitioner and End-of-Life Doula, I am committed to supporting patients and their loved ones through education, advocacy, comfort-focused care, and meaningful conversations that help reduce fear and uncertainty during life's most important transitions.
